On Tuesday, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, toured Cairo International Stadium to review the latest preparations for World Handball Championship; to kick off in Egypt on January 13.
Sobhy checked on the latest developments and praparations for the opening ceremony, as well as the activation of bubble system being applyed inside the venues that will host games of the tournament, stressing the importance of committing to all preventive measures inside them.
Sobhy stressed that all the State institutions are doing their best in order to deliver a successful World Championship, and to show the world that Egypt can manage such a great event like this. He added that the tournament is being organized during the difficult circumstances of coronavirus pandemic.
On the other hand, Sobhy witnessed a part of the rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony scheduled for next Wednesday. He also inspected the sterilization works being carried out by the Egyptian Armed Forces in the venues that will host the tournament.
